Acciaroli is a fishing village of Cilento( about 160 km south from Naples), on the Tyrrhenian Sea, it is 17 km from Velia and 30 km from Paestum.
The town is a part of "Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park", which natural environment is composed of "Maquis", typical of mediterranean countries. The seaside village is strongly receptive for tourism, especially on summer; principally because it has gained a national fame due to the quality of its sea waters, which give it the "Blue Flag beach", and the "5 sails" of Legambiente (an Italian environmentalist association) every summer from many years. Acciaroli today still spreads the austere charm of long gone times, with its historical centre and narrow alleys. The church and the Angioina tower seem to loom above the sea.
The tourist can comfortably seat in one of the café-bars or restaurants along the picturesque seaside promenade or have a walk throgh many naturalistic itineraries.
